The energy was high in the Bungalow on the corner of Rust and Grey Streets on Thursday night, as scores of media personalities, industry professionals, socialites and specially invited guests gathered to see who would be revealed as the new faces of Digicel Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival campaign.
The telecom had been teasing the reveal for over a week, posting silhouettes of artistes to their social media pages, asking customers to guess the personalities behind the shadows.
Most of the predictions were correct.
Digicel’s Communications, Sponsorship and Events Executive, Colin Greaves did the honour – inviting a slew of soca stars to stage: Nailah Blackman, Swappi, Voice, Preedy, Sekon Sta and Nessa Preppy. Nadia Batson and Patrice Roberts were also named as new endorsees for the brand, but weren’t present at the time of the announcement. Batson arrived a little later due to a conflicting commitment.
Also called the stage was host and entertainer Rome, who has been working closely with Digicel since late last year.
It set the scene for what will prove to be a busy season for Digicel Trinidad and Tobago.
Greaves detailed the numerous giveaway promotions currently underway.
Digicel customers stand to win in a variety of ways, namely by accessing the Shake To Win promotion via their My Digicel app.
Digicel has also been giving away $650 to lucky customers via the Phrase that Pays segment on the Boom Champions’ Morning Pump.
The telecom has also signed on to be the official Wi-Fi provider of major fetes throughout the season and Digicel customers can expect giveaways at events sponsored by the network.
